François Recanati (born 1952) is a French analytic philosopher and professor of language and mind.〔(Philosophy at St Andrews: Staff profiles )〕
==Biography==
Recanati has been a research fellow at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique since 1979.〔(Francois Recanati - Centre for the Study of Mind in Nature )〕
In 1991, Recanati was named the first president for the European Society for Analytic Philosophy. He would retain the position until 1993.〔(ESAP )〕
He has previously taught at the University of California, Berkeley, Harvard University and the University of St Andrews.〔
